It's my great pleasure to serve as an honourary board member of Camp Carmangay and to be associated with a program that does so much for young Albertans who most need our help and support.

Camp Carmangay provides its campers with opportunities to build new skills and challenge their physical abilities. And, in doing so, it also gives them a way to build confidence.

The camp gives them a chance to explore western and Native history. And, in doing so, it also helps young Albertans to develop pride in who they are and where they came from.

Perhaps most importantly, the camp gives disadvantaged youth and young people at risk the opportunity to find a mentor, make new friends and develop a better understanding of themselves. Surrounded by the beauty of an inspiring Alberta landscape, they are given the time and opportunity to find the beauty that exists in their hearts and minds - along with some tools to help them share the best of their spirit and their potential with others.

I wish everyone at Camp Carmangay, and all their campers, many wonderful experiences and every possible success.

As the youth ride the horses, let's all support Camp Carmangay and ensure the youth have a smooth ride into their future.
